How to Modify Brief Properties List in Properties Window<\/h1>\n

Issue<\/h1>\n

Need to modify\u00a0the Brief Properties list as displayed in the\u00a0Properties window when Show Brief Properties\u2019\u00a0is enabled.\u00a0For example, need to add Item Tag property to\u00a0Brief Properties list for Piping Component.<\/p>\n

Resolution<\/h1>\n

1. In Engineering Data Editor (EDE)\u00a0select the view for Piping Component.
2. Launch Edit View from EDE menu, then go to Advanced\u2026 > Layout.
3. Choose the Name \u2018PipingComp-Brief\/Bulk<\/span>\u2019, the Usage \u2018Brief\/Bulk<\/span>\u2019 or \u2018Brief\u2019 and add the property \u2018Item Tag\u2019 to the Contents. The click OK to save the changes to the view.<\/p>\n

4. Now highlight a Piping Component in a drawing and toggle \u2018Show Brief Properties\u2019 to see the Item Tag.<\/p>\n
